"Smart Mortgages for the First-Time Home Buyer" seminar on July 16 begins at 6 p.m.

Asheville Strategic Alliance (ASA) is proud to announce its first of an ongoing weekly series of free financial seminars, entitled "Smart Mortgages for the First-Time Home Buyer."

It will begin at 6 p.m. on Thurs., July 16, 2009, at the ASA headquarters in downtown Asheville. It will be presented by mortgage banker David Kanis of Ashford Mortgage Advisors and Mike Sowinski, CPA, of CFO Consultants.

This and other financial seminars are designed for individuals and small business owners. The free seminars are intended to increase a citizen’s financial IQ, and part of an ASA public outreach program known as the Financial Wellness Forum (FWF). This personal finance seminar is the first in a weekly series of Financial Wellness Forum seminars that are free and open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis.

The FWF seminar series begins on July 16, 2009, from 6 to 7 p.m., at the headquarters of the Asheville Strategic Alliance, located at 149 South Lexington Ave. in downtown Asheville. ASA’s professional members are dedicated to helping area citizens improve their financial future and will conduct new seminars weekly with timely topics.

The first ad that announced the series of public outreach seminars, known as the Financial Wellness Forum, appeared in the July 2009 issue of Rapid River Magazine.

Both Ashford and CFO Consultants are based in Asheville, North Carolina. Both professionals conducting the free seminar are founding members of the Asheville Strategic Alliance, a group of community-minded professionals who help Americans improve their financial future.
